Zope 3.3.1 / 2.10.3

Zope 3.3.1 / 2.10.3

Zope is an open source web application server primarily written in the Python programming language. Zope features a transactional object database which can store not only content and custom data, but also dynamic HTML templates, scripts, a search engine, and relational database (RDBMS) connections and code.

It features a strong through-the-web development model, allowing you to update your web site from anywhere in the world. To allow for this, Zope also features a tightly integrated security model. Built around the concept of "safe delegation of control", Zope's security architecture also allows you to turn control over parts of a web site to other organizations or individuals.

The transactional model applies not only to Zope's object database, but to many relational database connectors as well, allowing for strong data integrity. This transaction model happens automatically, ensuring that all data is successfully stored in connected data sources by the time a response is returned to a web browser or other client.

Amaya 11.4.7

Description by the Software Developer:
"Amaya is a Web editor, i.e. a tool used to create and update documents directly on the Web. Browsing features are seamlessly integrated with the editing and remote access features in a uniform environment. This follows the original vision of the Web as a space for collaboration and not just a one-way publishing medium.
Work on Amaya started at W3C in 1996 to showcase Web technologies in a fully-featured Web client. The main motivation for developing Amaya was to provide a framework that can integrate as many W3C technologies as possible. It is used to demonstrate these technologies in action while taking advantage of their combination in a single, consistent environment.
Amaya started as an HTML + CSS style sheets editor. Since that time it was extended to support XML and an increasing number of XML applications such as the XHTML family, MathML, and SVG. It allows all those vocabularies to be edited simultaneously in compound documents.
Amaya includes a collaborative annotation application based on Resource Description Framework (RDF), XLink, and XPointer.
The application is jointly developed by W3C and the WAM (Web, Adaptation and Multimedia) project at INRIA."

The Bat! 8.6 (64-bit)

A powerful email client with suppport for any number of POP/IMAP accounts, PGP encryption, spam filtering, custom mail filters, plugins etc: manage incoming email right on the server, toss messages from your friends into special folders, mark messages from your dear ones with special colors, send automatic replies, create virtual folders, use templates, and much more.

Note that The Bat! doesn't support embedded images in HTML email, that is, it won't download graphics embedded as HTML links (i.e. as "IMG SRC" tags in the email body); however, it does support images sent as attachments. The lack of ability to automatically download and show imbedded images can be a downside for some, but it will actually safeguard you against automatically downloading and executing malicious scripts posing as images: it is not widely known, but it is possible to embed a specially designed script inside an image file in such a way that some popular browsers and email programs will automatically execute the script once the image is downloaded.

The Bat! Professional Edition vs The Bat! Home Edition:
For the Home Edition spell checker dictionaries can be downloaded separately, they are included in the International Pack. In the Professional Edition the dictionaries are a part of the standard installation file.
For the Home Edition the multilingual interface can be downloaded separately, thet are included in the International Pack. In the Professional Edition the multilingual interface is a part of the standard installation file.
Possibility for hardware authentication with mail servers.
On-The-Fly encryption.
Biometric Authentication.
