It's well-known that Windows 2K and Windows XP are incapable of determining and setting optimum refresh rates in OpenGL and Direct3D applications. In some games (e.g., Q3-based games an Serious Sam (FE/SE)) a user may force the optimum refresh rate by means of the game settings. But the number of such "smart" games is rather small. Most of the games under Windows 2000/XP leave a user no choice except the default 60Hz (or 75hz). Obviously, 60Hz isn't the best mode to play or work. This program is designed to solve the problem by letting a user specify the optimum refresh rates under Windows 2000 and XP for OpenGL and Direct3D modes. Supported videocards: ATI RAGE PRO (not completely tested), ATI RAGE 128/RAGE 128 PRO, RADEON (including LE, VE, 7500, 8500).

The cost of the phone call is the cost that you spend connected to the internet. To call somebody, you must provide to linphone a SIP URL : It is something like toto@machine.com, where toto is a linux user that runs linphone, and machine.com is the name of a host on a network. If you don't know the machine's name you can specify simply an IP address in dot notation (as 192.0.0.1)."
