As is well known, computers that use dial-up connections are typically assigned different IP addresses each time they connect to the Internet. With this program, your computer is assigned a DNS-like address in the form of myhost.dyndns.org (where myhost is any name of your choice). Since your host name never changes, it makes accessing your computer (for instance, via NetMeeting and other similar programs that use a host name for connection) much easier than using your IP address which changes each time you reconnect.
