Recommended Download: Screen Calipers 3.2 A unique on-screen measurement tool, similar to a screen ruler. The Calipers resemble real life vernier calipers in both form and function. This version doesn't support Windows 95. (The one that does support W95 sits here, and it's freeware.) | Recommended Download: PackWord 1.0 Compresses MS Word document (.doc) files into smaller, compressed, .doc files. The compressed .doc file is self-extracting: when loaded into Microsoft Word, the compressed document will automatically expand to the original version. This is how it works: When compressing, PackWord compresses the .doc file and appends the compressed data to a self-extracting header, creating the new (compressed) .doc file. When decompressing, the self-extracting header expands the compressed data to the original document, opens the expanded file and closes itself. The downside is, the program can't compress small files (we've tested a 20 kb file). PackWord supports MS Word 97/2000 (Word XP hasn't been tested yet). Doesn't require installation. |
