Two file windows side by side. Enhanced search function. The handy Multi-Rename Tool enables you to quickly & easily rename multiple files. (BTW, Total Commander saves your search & rename entries to the wincmd.ini file that usually sits in the Windows folder. You can open the file in a text editor and delete or substitute any entries if you don't want to leave traces of what you searched for and what files you renamed.) Other Total Commander features include: Compare files / synchronize directories; Quick View panel with bitmap display; ZIP, ARJ, LZH, RAR, UC2, TAR, GZ, CAB, ACE archive handling + plugins. The built-in FTP client with FXP (server to server) and HTTP proxy support has autoresume & multi-threaded download features. Parallel port link; Tabbed interface, regular expressions, history + favorites buttons, and many more very cool features to explore, utilize, and drool over.
