This program's motto is "A better Start Menu than the Start Menu!". PaneKiller gives you easy, configurable, menu-like access to every document and application available on your computer, all from the Windows taskbar. The program has a number of handy advantages over other toolbars. For instance, you can replace the 'Start' menu with PaneKiller as well as change both the text and the picture on the 'Start' button with anything you like - what other program is capable of doing that? For good measure, you can customize the way the menu pops up (some 30 (!) variants available) and the way the menu looks. PaneKiller menu transition effects show off your computer's graphical abilities (that is, if there are any). In fact, the program's author says he is "maintaining a list of cool and non-obvious ways to use PaneKiller", but actually it's easier to download the program and customize it according to your needs than waste time reading the lengthy list of all its various capabilities.
