Google Desktop 5.9.911.3589

A desktop search application that provides full text search over your email, computer files, music, photos, chats and web pages that you've viewed. When you look at a web page, read an email, open or edit a file, or have an AIM chat, Google Desktop indexes that item and copies the item's content into its cache, so that you'll be able to find long-finished chats and older versions of files and web pages. Once you've installed Google Desktop, whenever your computer is idle for more than 30 seconds, it automatically starts indexing new items in real time as you see them. For example, it will find a web page immediately after you view it, or an email right after you read it. You can set Google Desktop's preferences to not index specific files or folders. You can also tell Desktop to remove specific files, folder or URLs from its cache.
The capabilities of Google Desktop can be greatly expanded by a whole host of available plug-ins.
