Now you have control over your desktop PC – you can easily tune, customize, cool, stress, quiet, or test the system. Intel Desktop Control Center is designed to help you improve system stability, optimize performance, and control cooling and acoustic characteristics. This dynamic application allows you to do more with your desktop board than ever before. Intel Desktop Control Center enables you to perform stress tests to verify system stability and to conduct performance testing to measure the impact of system configuration changes. The built-in system gauges dynamically display temperatures, bus speeds, and usage percentages so you can observe the effects of various system modifications in real-time. This easy-to-use console allows you to fine-tune fan speeds and performance settings, verify system stability, and check performance gains without rebooting into the BIOS. And once you have tuned the system to your liking, the settings can be stored as presets so you can quickly shift gears between "quiet operation" and "gaming mode."

What this program does is it saves to a log file such data as current user name, start-up time, opened windows titles, the time the window was opened and closed. In Win9x the program cannot be detected through Ctrl+Alt+Del. At its first launch, Log of System writes itself to the Registry (HKLM), and thereafter launches every time automatically. To prevent it from running automatically, the program needs to be launched with the '/unreg' parameter: log.exe /unreg. Log of System requires msvbvm50.dll library (W2k/XP users have it by default).
