Enables you to identify the sender of email messages, trace and report spammers, identify "phishing" emails and other scammers trying to steal your confidential information. Analyzes an email message you have received to identify the sender's IP address (which is something you can easily do by simply viewing message headers, of course), shows the geographical location of the sender on a world map (which is of course extremely helpful in catching the bad guy), and provides automated reporting of spammers, scammers, and email abusers (that, of course, might be helpful if they don't happen to use special software that generates fake email addresses for every new message). Also, eMailTrackerPro identifies the email program used to send the message (there are a variety of programs, of course, that let you fake that, too). Windows task bar integration enables quick traces of the email address, without having to wait for a program to launch or keep the program window open. In fact, this program also "uncovers common tactics used by spammers: it indicates if the sender has used 'misdirection' and other tactics in an attempt to disguise their tracks" (that was from the developers description). If you, by the way, are using the full version of Outlook, eMailTrackerPro lets you trace an email with a simple click on the Outlook toolbar, and easily validate emails before opening or responding. For other email programs simply copy/paste the email headers into eMailTrackerPro (or view and analyze them yourself).
